Young Women of the Year

In 1962, the first Miss Showgirl Competition was held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. More than 60 years later, the program has evolved into the AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition, continuing its proud tradition of recognising, mentoring and celebrating young rural women who embody the spirit of their communities.

Today’s entrants are passionate, informed and community-minded young women who represent the future of rural New South Wales. They are ambassadors for their communities, advocates for agriculture and emerging leaders in their local areas.

Robertson Show is now seeking our 2027 Young Woman of the Year.

The successful entrant will represent Robertson Show at local events and progress to the regional finals, with the opportunity to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Who can apply?
Women aged 18–26 years are invited to enter.
