Rural Ambassador Program

In partnership with TAG (Ag Group South Coast & Tablelands Inc.), the Robertson Show is proud to participate in the Rural Ambassador Program, recognising young people who contribute to Group 5 shows, the agriculture sector, and rural communities.

Who can apply
Permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand
Aged 18–30 as at 1 May

What you’ll do
Join the Show Society Youth Committee or TAG to help run youth events (incl. the Young Farmer Challenge)
Work with a show mentor and complete a steward rotation across multiple sections (meet exhibitors, assist judges, present ribbons)
Attend official functions as the President’s guest

What you’ll receive
$200 cash prize
Show Ambassador dress shirt
2-year membership to Robertson Show Society
2-year membership to TAG
12-month honorary committee position with the Show Society



Junior Rural Ambassador / Young Steward Program

Also in partnership with TAG, our inaugural Young Steward Program offers hands-on experience for young people keen to learn how a show runs behind the scenes and to support Group 5 events.

Who can apply
Permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand
Aged 14–18 as at 1 May

Participation & training
Commit to at least one of the two show days (nominated on entry)
Complete a pre-show stewardship training course
Parent/guardian must sign the participation waiver

What you’ll do on show day
Meet & greet with executive committee, sponsors, judges, and officials
Behind-the-scenes showground tour
Steward in 3 different sections (2–3 hrs each) with a mentor during judging
Option to join the Young Stewards Team in the Junior Young Farmer Challenge
Free time to explore the show

What you’ll receive
Stewardship training course & stewards pack
“Robertson Show” Young Steward shirt
12-month TAG membership
12-month Show membership (incl. 2026 show entry)
Certificate of participation and letter of endorsement
