The "New" Poultry Pavilion was made possible after much hard work from Doug Stratford and Doug Andrews.

First Doug S. strengthened the piers, fixed the roof, plumbed in the water.

Then, after a generous donation of corrugated iron from Mrs Janet Norman, Doug & Doug clad the walls and erected shelves for the cages. It was decided to maintain the "rustic" look in keeping with the rest of the old cattle shed.

Some of the timbers used in the refurbishment were from the original pavilion, then recycled for use in the bar verandah, which was replaced last year. The dashing sign, made by Vogue Signs, was made possible after a generous donation from Southern Rural Solutions.

We are indebted to Picton Show Society and the Picton Poultry Club for their generous loan of cages over the last few years, but the time has come to stand alone and obtain our own. This is not a cheap decision as the lowest quote is over $5000.00.

To raise money for this we are asking for sponsorship, which will range from $20 - $35 per cage. Donors will have their names permanently fixed to their cages. For further information about sponsoring cages, please ring Show Secretary Leesa, 0411 537 600
